They consist of business operations of boarding/landing, transfers/transhipment of containers, goods and equipments of different kind, among which also special, big and heavy goods.

Port operations are realized by I.T.S.A. s.r.l. referring to the activity of the Port Firm according to the law L.84/94 art 16.

This activity is performed at the Port of Augusta and mostly consists of boarding/landing operations of containers, rolling stocks, general cargo, ro/ro and lo/lo traffic, as well as operations on "extraordinary hills", such as aeolic towers, pillars, ovens, reactors, transformers etc. All these operations are possible thanks to high capacity purchases and equipments (wharf cranes with or without spreaders, lift trucks, fifth wheel with or without semitrailers, reach-stackers with spreaders, direct current generators, reak fired for fridges, everything with equipments, etc) which belong to I.T.S.A. .

The staff is very professional and it is always trained. This aspect and the quality of the equipments are on the basis of I.T.S.A.'s success.

I.T.S.A. has got different lifting attachments too. They allow a suitable and safe movement of extraordinary containers, as well as loads of project cargoes boarded on the shipcontainers.

The work organization and the flexibility, twenty-four hour a day, all the year, ensures quick boarding/landing operations with movement of any kind of goods: containers, rolling stocks, wood, machineries of specialized plant design.

The annual movement capacity is about 300.000 teus that can be developed.
